God Seeks Worshipers

In John 4, Jesus is talking to the Samaritan woman at the well. After confronting her about her sin, she starts talking to Jesus about worship. Jesus said to her, God seeks those who worship him in Spirit and Truth. God is seeking worshipers, not the other way around, The Bible tells us no one seeks God (Romans 3:11), but God does reward those who seek him (Hebrews 11:6) and does not forsake those who seek him (Psalm 9:10).

How can we say no seeks God but rewards those who seek him? The only reason we seek God is based on our regenerated hearts after coming to faith in Jesus do we desire to seek God. God seeks those who has the proper heart to worship him, which is regenerated by the Holy Spirit, and those who will worship God based on the truth revealed in Scripture. That is the difference between Christianity and the other world religions. Other religions reach out to God, but Christianity teaches that God reaches down to us through the Person of Christ. Since, he reaches down to us, he seeks those who are worship in Spirit and in Truth.
