Am I Really A Christian? by Mike McKinley

Kirk Cameron said, The reality is that hell is heavily populated with people who professed Christianity but never examined themselves (from the Foreword pg 11). As a Christian living in the Bible Belt, we assume that people who say God's name or attend church are Christians. This is what Mike McKinley is addressing in his book, Am I Really A Christian?, which is the latest book from 9 Marks Ministries and Crossway.

The book deals with a serious of tests to determine if one is a genuine Christian or not. The first two chapters deal with what Jesus and Paul describes are true followers of Jesus. The next five look at various scripture passages to examine ourselves to see if we are in faith. In the final chapter, McKinley gives the reader assurance if they start doubting their salvation.

This book is easy to read and understand along with humor. This is a great book to use for a Bible study whether in Sunday School, small groups, and even discipling teenagers. I think a lot of churches need to go through this book because there may be people who will be the ones Jesus said, call him "Lord, Lord" and not enter the Kingdom of Heaven.

This book was provided by Crossway for the purpose of review.
