I have been reading Sam Storms' devotional, The Hope of Glory, which is 100 meditations on the book of Colossians. If you follow me on Twitter and/or Facebook, you might have notice that I will leave quote from Storms and they are from this book. I want to share a few quotes that I have underlined in the book:
No matter where you are geographically and physically, what you are spiritually will never change. You may be at work, at play, overseas, under the weather, out of money, but you are always and unchangeably in Christ.
The grace of God...is the power of God's Spirit converting the soul.
Grace...is not the only divine act by which God initiates our spiritual life, but also the very power by which we are sustained and nourished in, and proceed through, that life. The energizing and sanctifying work of the indwelling Spirit is the grace of God.
The holy hostility and righteous indignation provoked by our sin has been forever satisfied in the sufferings of Christ Jesus.
We love the Scriptures because they lead us to Christ.
