Another Music Monday Post: The Word is Alive by Casting Crowns

A few years ago, my wife and I attended a concert featuring Casting Crowns during their The Alter and The Door tour with John Waller and Leeland. It was a great concert that was a worship experience as well. During the concert, the band performed one of their first hits, "Voice of Truth." While they were singing, they had a painter painting on stage while they were performing the song. Right after that song, they sang one of my favorite songs, "The Word is Alive." This video is from that tour, not sure what city it was at during in this video. There is a speaking part in the song that sometimes I have a hard time understanding what is being said, so if you are slow like me, here are the words:

The Bible was inscribed over a period of two thousand years
In times of war and in days of peace
By kings, physicians, tax collectors, farmers, fishermen, singers, and shepherds
The marvel is that a library so perfectly cohesive could have been produced by such a diverse crowd
Over a period of time which staggers the imagination
Jesus is its grand subject, our good is its design, and the glory of God is its end.
