Book Review: Red Like Blood by Joe Coffey and Bob Bevington

The grace of God is beautiful. The grace of God is also a mystery. Why would God bestow grace on people who turned their backs on Him? Grace has been written about in books. One of the most popular Hymns in the church deals with grace.

As I mentioned earlier, grace has been in books by various authors. Most of them deal with the grace of God in a theological context. Other books would teach the grace of God in a manner as one would understand it in their daily walk with Jesus. But what about writing about the grace of God in a practical manner where stories of every day people have experienced this amazing grace?

Red Like Blood by Joe Coffey and Bob Bevington is such a book that takes the grace of God and makes it practical through the lens of ones who have experienced such grace. Joe and Bob are friends who share their stories of grace as well as how they met one another. Each chapter is a story from real people who experienced the grace of God and without making one feel they are stretching it out.

A delight to read and will be a comfort to those who have not experienced the grace of God as these people in the book have. This will be great for those going through some tough times right now or even for a new Christian.

Thanks Shepherd Press for letting me review this book.
