Book Review: Crazy Busy by Kevin DeYoung

Lets face it we are all busy. Whether we are busy with work or family obligations, we are know how busy life can get. Those in ministry as are also busy especially those who are bi-vocational.

Kevin DeYoung addresses the issue of busyness in his latest book, Crazy Busy. This book is deals with the three dangers of busyness that all must avoid, seven diagnoses to consider, the one thing one must do to avoid and/or get out of busyness. That one thing is "making consistent time for the Word of God and prayer" (pg. 117).

What makes this book very enjoyable is not just that is it a short book on busyness, which would be ironic because if there was a 200 page book, then people would be too busy to read the book. I love how DeYoung adds some humor in the book on a very serious subject. Why is busyness a serious subject? It can rob us of time with family and hinder our walk with Jesus. This is one book all Christians whether you are in full time ministry or not need to read. If you have a job that keeps you busy, read the book.

Thanks Crossway for letting me review this book.
