Because He Lives, We Can Face Monday

I hoe everyone had a great Easter weekend. I know I did. I attended one of the best Easter service ever at my church. Why was it so good? It was all centered on Jesus.

After all the Easter gatherings were done, I sat in my home trying to read a couple of books but I was still excited because of the day we had. I did not get to sleep till almost midnight then the sound that no one wants to hear. That sound was the alarm clock when I had a Garfield moment as I expressed, "Please don't let be Monday."

Okay, maybe its not the first time I have thought it and I think the same can be said about you as well. This morning was one of those time I wished I can get in a time machine and enjoy yesterday all over again. Not that Mondays are bad and should praise God that we wake up to another day because we are not promised tomorrow. It is by His grace we hear the alarm clock, get up, and get ready for our day.

Earlier today, I read this tweet from Jason Meyer, which said, "Christ rose from the dead on Sunday so that we could get out of bed on Monday. Sometimes it takes resurrection power just to face the day." Christ rose from the dead so we can face Monday. Not just the day after Easter, but any Monday especially after a good worship service. Psalm 118:24 says, "This is the day that the LORD has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it." Guess what? That also means Monday.

No matter what happens every Monday, Jesus is alive. You are accepted by the Father because of Jesus' atoning death on the cross. Jesus did not stay dead. He lives so we can face Monday.
