Mormonism has become a subject of debate recently thanks to the comments by Robert Jeffress, Pastor of First Baptist Church in Dallas. His comments, as he was introducing Texas Governor Rick Perry, has been in the headlines for the past week. He called Mormonism a cult and Mitt Romney, who is also running for President, is not a Christian because Mormons are part of a cult. There have been many people saying what Jeffress is saying about Mormons is false and others have been writing about what Mormons believe. The purpose of this entry is not to get political, but to make you aware of the beliefs of Mormonism. There have been a few blog entries that have done an excellent job in discussing Mormonism that I think every Christian needs to read, meditate, and be aware of the beliefs of Mormonism. What is alarming is there have been Christians over the years leaving the faith to become Mormons because they think Mormonism and Christianity are the same thing.
