Why Did Jesus Come In The Flesh?

Every Christmas season we reflect on the coming of Jesus to this world as a man. Many people will flock to church in order to fulfill some religious obligation they have made to be in church during this holiday season. Some Christians solely believe that Jesus came to die just for their sins.

It is true that Christ came and died for the sins of the world. John the Baptist testified that Jesus is the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world. The Apostle John writes that Jesus is the propitiation for our sins and the sins of the whole world. The Apostle Paul testified that God showed his love that Christ died for sinners.

All of this is sound doctrine and is the message of the gospel. However, Jesus did not come just to die for the sins of the whole world. Lord willing, what I am hoping to do in the next few weeks is to take a theological look at why Jesus came in the flesh from the pages of Scripture so we may worship him and be prompt to tell other about Jesus.

I hope and pray you will join me on this journey to truly adore Him as our Risen Savior who sits at the right hand of the throne room of God. I pray lost people will read these entries as we look to Jesus and His mission. I pray Christians will read this to worship Christ and begin to thank Him for the work He has done.
