We have seen the cross on church buildings, paintings, on the wall of someone's house, and even as a piece of jewelry around someone's neck. I remember as a kid who had no idea who Jesus was, I associated the cross with the Japanese anime cartoon robot Voltron. We see a cross used in vampire movies to fight them off because it will burn them.
Many churches do not have cross anywhere in their building because it might offend people. I believe a lot of Christians have lost what the cross truly means. In this short video, R.C. Sproul discusses the meaning of the cross.
