Book Review: The Jesus Bible

The Bible is a collection of books that tell one story about God sending His Son to redeem His children from their sin. All of the Bible points to Jesus from the beginning to the end. Many look at the books of the Bible as separated books from one another, but that is not the case.

Zondervan in partnership with Passion ministries which hosts the Passion conferences that are held every January since 1997, have produced The Jesus Bible which helps the reader see Jesus throughout the pages of Scripture. This Bibles comes with helpful articles from John Piper, Louie Giglio, Ravi Zacharias, Randy Alcorn, and Max Lucado.

Each book has a simple introduction and how it points to Jesus. This Bible also contains over 700 sidebar articles to help the reader connect Christ to the Bible. As I read various portions of this Bible, I did not see anything objectionable which is a little surprising considering that Giglio has kind of gone off the deep end theologically as of late and Lucado is know for more fluff in his writings.

This is a good Bible to give a new believer to help them see all of the Bible points to Jesus. The only downer is that this Bible is in the New International Version.

Thanks Booklook Bloggers for letting me review this book.
